Novice Black win BIG at the Coca-Cola Coliseum
The Wolves play a tough Woolwich Wildcats in the opening act prior to the Toronto Marlies game.

That night in Toronto, with it's checkerboard floors, riding on horseback (or Bus), keeping order restored....

Was exactly what the young Wolves experienced when facing the Woolwich Wildcats in the home of the Marlies!  First class treatment for a first class team, was the experience from start to finish!

Coming off a big win at home against the Cambridge Hawks, the Wolves had the momentum an Ayr Coach Bus could not stop...so, instead, the boys took a few whacks and made the bus look mean, for their show on the road, into Toronto.  While the bus unloaded the Wolves into the entrance of the Coca-Cola Coliseum, security was tight with holding off the swarms of fans looking for autographs, the young Wolves knew it was going to be a good day.

The first period started off slow with both teams feeling each other out in the sold out Coca-Cola Coliseum.  The boys knew that one mistake would lead to a prime opportunity that they could not afford.  The Fiddler and Blacker played fierce D holding the line, which tamed the Wildcats and stifled any offence.  B-Dups, Double Deuce and G-Mac were a force with many shots on net that could not beat a hot Wildcats goaltender.  The period ended scoreless thanks to Coombsy's Flash like reflexes to hold onto the shutout.

Second period was solid with more Wolves domination and puck possession in the Wildcats zone.  Dr Dre was able to open the score with a one on one battle.  Assisting on the goal was Slates and Jukes Pilarzy with Widdy and Chidzy who moved the play up quickly.

Being up 1-0, the Wolves knew they had to put some ketchup on these fries to have a chance to bring home the TMHL (Toronto Marlies Hockey League) trophy.
Niesz scored on a juicy rebound that was started off by Pax Attack and Potsy-P.  Hutty and Bracks kept the play in the offensive end to create this play.
With more offensive flurry, Slates was able to burry a blistering blazer, into a wide open net, to solidify a hefty lead.  With DVR finishing off and holding onto the shutout to end the game, the buzzer rang and the fans went wild!

A fantastic and well played game on both sides.  The Wolves want to truly thank the Wildcats for a fierce battle and look forward to a continued and friendly future games in the future.

After the Wolves showered with Champagne, they were able to watch a much slower, less physical game with the Toronto Marlies taking on the Carolina Checkers.  Clearly this game was not nearly as well coached or, as we all know, didn't have Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt reffing the game, but it was still very entertaining.

The young Wolves truly had an amazing time that brought the boys together and was worth every cent!  We look forward to what these Wolves will achieve now that they have an unbreakable bond!
