Novice Black off to the Finals!
The sixth player, Wolves Booster club, was loud, proud and the difference makers.

Game 2 had a late Friday night start, but the Wolves were ready.

With the Wolves up, 2 points to none, the Wolves looked to end the series in Cougar town.

Playing in the rugged, rough and a bit run down arena of Waves Sports Centre, the Wolves had a fight that wouldn't quit.

Period 1, saw the Cougars fighting for their lives and taking it to the Wolves.  The Wolves, who seemed to still have their bus legs, battled, but could not push the cougars out of their end.  With the Cougars going up 1-0 in the first frame was concerning for the Wolves, but thanks to DVR, kept the game within one.

Period 2, there was a bit more life to the Wolves get up.  The zebras seemed to also wake up but called a few against our Wolves.  Being a man short, the Wolves seemed to then put the push on and have the Cougars against the ropes.  Hutty pinched in on the offensive blue line to make a great play by getting the puck in front of the Cougars net minder, with Bee-Dups picking up the rebound and making the game even at 1 a piece.

Going into the third period, the boys found themselves down again 2-1.  DVR continued to make save after save, keeping the Wolves in the game.  G-Mac evened up the score with a beauty rebound off a Bee-Dups shot.  The boys woke up and pushed hard in on the Cougars taking shot after shot, many missing the target.  Bee-Dups again, wired one up to Double Deuce, who put the boys up 3-2 with only a couple minutes remaining in the game.  Bee-Dups with three points on the night was a force to be reckoned with.

The final buzzer rang with the Wolves fans going crazy!  The Wolves players saluted their fans with a fly by and celebrated in the dressing room with Waterloo Champagne...

The Wolves look to regroup and get their legs ready to move, as they face Burlington Bulldogs in a final series takes all kicking off Sunday afternoon in Bean town.  For our fans and a very special someone, puck drop will be at 3:15pm.

Thank you too our booster club and the backbone of our team:
