Novice MD Black gain 2 of 4 points in a battle filled weekend
The Wolves faced a tough match up against a krusty Kitchener Rangers squad at home and a feisty Bulldogs team in Bean Town.

Game 1, the Rangers came to town in a prime time bout Saturday night.  The game was referred to as a good ole fashion bush party!

The Wolves came out flying by outshooting the Rangers, with Niesz riding in on the ice like a scoop of Neapolitan ice cream, scooping in a sweet goal, fed by the Fiddler and Pax Attack.  The period ended with the Rangers tying the game making a 1-1 going into the second.
Second period the Wolves came out flat by getting into a bit of a dust up or two.  The Ranger's Fans came in loud and proud and took exception to some solid tough play by the Wolves.  Unfortunately the Rangers broke the tie and went up 2-1 going into the third.
The third period was a good battle and could not beat a hot goaltender on the Ranger's side.  The Wolves outshot the Rangers 16-13 overall which showed it was a true defensive style of a game.

Game 2, saw a later night game in Burlington against the Burly Bulldogs with a huge bounce back game.

The first period saw the Wolves skating so fast that the ice started to melt. They won key battles, first on the puck and forced several turnovers....and not the ones filled with Sweet Apple fillin.  The Wolves went up 1- nothing in the first with a chipper from the Double Deucer.  The helpers were B-Dups and Dr Dre.

Second period saw a flawless period with the Wolves outshooting the BullyDawgs 14-0.  Pure defensive domination by Chidzie, Hutty, Bracks, The Fiddler and Widdy not allowing a goal.  DVR asked the coaches mid way through the period if they would mind if he read a book as he did not see any action...
We saw goals from Double Deuce, with his second of the game, Niesz and GMac.  Helpers all coming from B-Dups, with two, Potsy-P, GMac , The Fiddler and Double Deuce who had a three point night.

The Third period the Wolves continued the threat smelling blood and seeing red.  We were down Blacker, who is attending mid season conditioning in the mountains of Hawaii, eating Panthers and walking barefoot in the Lava fields.

The Game ended in a 4-0 win, with the Wolves outshooting the Bulldogs 38-7.  Big shout out to the Bulldog's goalies who played outstanding!

The Wolves continue to work on their speed, and game play this week, getting ready for a rematch against the Rangers and battling the cats of Burlington Cougars.
