Novice Black finish the weekend with 4 points
Finishing off the weekend with a big Win at home against the Burlington Jr Cougars
The young Wolves came out flying in the first frame of the game that startled the Cougars. The Wolves scored in bunches with Bee-Dups and Potsy P adding singles with Dr Dre scoring a deuce, with Chidzy adding a helper on one of them.
The second period was a tough one for the Wolves as they experienced the wrath of the Cougars! The Wolves found themselves in penalty trouble and could not muster any consistent offence. Pax Attack and Potsy-P were able to squeak singles in to keep their lead. Bee-Dups adding an assist on Pax Attack's goal was a beauty.
Going into the final period, the Wolves had a comfortable lead on the scoreboard, but were struggling being short handed with more penalties, totalling 9, equating to 18 mins in the game. Fortunately there was great goaltending by Coombsy to hold the boys in the game and some defensive plays to clear the puck out of harms way. Double Deuce continued his scoring streak by adding a single along with Bee-Dups adding his third assist of the night, Big Slates adding a single and Pax Attack adding a goal to complete two on the night with a nice pass from Potsy-P.
The Wolves came out of the weekend with two big wins to put them at the top of the leader board but they know they will face some very tough competition coming up against the strong Kitchener Rangers Blue on Sunday Dec 9th.
