Wolves Novice Black open the weekend with two points
Wolves win big on the road facing off with the Cambridge Hawks

The young Wolves came out flying against a tough Cambridge team that showed they are not to be taken lightly.

The first period saw the young Wolves skating well, but due to no games in the past 12 days, the boys had a bit of rust through the first frame.  Double Deuce and Jukes Pilzy added singles to put the Wolves up by two.

The second period the Wolves blew a paw and didn't have much in the tank through this period.  The tough Hawks came out strong putting the young Wolves back on their feet and played tough along the boards.  The Squawky Birds added two quick goals to cut the lead and scare the boys. With this, big Double Deuce took matters in his own hands and added two more to give him the natural hat trick.

Going into the third, the young wolves felt the need, the need for speed!  With the extra conditioning and skating drills over the past two weeks, it was evident the Wolves had the endurance and speed to outlast the pesky Hawks.  They were first on the puck and pressured the puck carrier with speed and the constant nattering like an irritating mosquito.  The young Wolves peppered the birds with 21 shots on goal in the third to open the game wide open.  We saw great goals by G-Mac, Big Bad Slates and Niesz with singles and the star of the game Double Deuce adding two more goals to make his game high total of 5!  Just as important as the goals, we saw several helpers come from Dr Dre, Hutty, Bee Dups, Bracks and the Fiddler.
