MD - Minor Peewee Black vs Burlington Bulldogs White
As the regular season winds down, Waterloo made it three wins in a row when they mauled the Bulldogs 3 - 1.

Welcome back to the New Year fans. The regular season winds down in a week and there is still time for teams to move up in the standings.

Waterloo opened the scoring mid way through the first period as Micheal Wei and Riley Waters battled hard in the corner to come up with the puck. As Riley made his way to the net and fired a shot down low, Michael appeared out of nowhere to jump on the rebound and tuck it around the pads of the goalie. Nearly four minutes later, Ethan Day held the line as he rifled a shot on net. Lukas Babensee finished the play firing the puck between the wickets allowing the team to take a 2 - 0 lead.

The boys kept up the pressure in Burlington's zone all of the second period even as Waterloo spent most of the period on the penalty box.

Micheal and Riley were at it again to start the third period as Michael passed the puck to Riley in front of the net. Austin Zappitelli, "International Man of Netminding" nearly had his third consecutive shutout before Burlington got one back with two minutes left in the game. Austin went a whopping, 192 minutes without allowing a goal. Looks like he is in the zone.

Good effort boys. Looks like you have your work cut out for you as you face the cross bench rivals - Waterloo White on Sunday. Go get them boys.
