Novice MD Red open the playoff round with a big win Saturday night in Waterloo
The young Wolves continued their fast pace of skating and puck possession to beat a Husky Hamilton squad.

The Wolves came out slow with the Hamilton squad who quickly put up a goal in the opening frame of the first period.  The Wolve's alarm clock went off and that was the last the Husky’s would put up any markers on the scoreboard.  Nater and Kropfy answered within 27 seconds apart with two quick goals to put the Wolves up by 1 going into the second period.

The second period was the Nater and Kropfy show.  Both of which potted one a piece with Nater adding one more, to collect on his hat trick, short-handed. The young Wolves continued to show the opposition what skating hard and puck possession consists of when they can dominate a game with speed.

Going into the final frame Nater added his fourth goal of the night with Kropfy getting a single to conclude with a hatty and Strachs adding a single.  The Wolves had a steady stream to the sin bin with some tough plays and grit.

All the Wolves continue to play strong as a team with support, speed and possession!

The Wolves have an early curfew Saturday night to rest up for the Burlington Bulldogs, in a Sunday matinee game in Burlington.
