MD Atom White vs St Catharines Hurricanes
A 2 - 0 shutout win earned the boys a place in the final match as St. Catharines was no match for the hungry Wolves.
This was a very exciting game right from the drop of the puck. The team was determined to make up for the earlier loss to St. Catharines. The defense was stellar in front of Austin Zappitelli not allowing rebounds to get to their opponents. Both goalies came up with a couple of solid saves to keep the score at 0 - 0.
The boys were applying all sorts of pressure when their first goal came less than one minute to play in the second. Quade Willson held the puck at the blue line and the found Hunter McMurdo off to the side. Hunter's shot on net bounced right to the stick of Theo Wolfe. Theo gingerly tucked the puck in the open side.
The boys notched their second goal on a high wrist shot from Ethan Wasylyshyn. Gavin Wilson and Aidan MacKinnon grabbed the assists.
Spectacular game boys. Everyone was on the edge of their seats throughout the entire game. Get some rest before you take on Wallaceburg in the finals at 1:00.
