MD Atom White vs Hamilton Huskies Red
A much rested team took it to Hamilton Red as the wolves earned a 3 - 0 win on Hockey Night in Canada.

Hunter Kechnie ties his teammate earning his 53rd shutout of the season. Nothing got past Hunter as he stood square to the shooter and did not give up any rebounds. The defense showed grit and toughness as they cleared out the front of the net and ensured Hamilton did not get close to Hunter. Every time Hamilton had the puck, a wolf was all over them forcing the turnover. With a faceoff in Hamilton's zone, Quade Willson jumped on the puck in the circle and dished it to a streaking Theo Wolfe. Theo's shot ended up on Ethan Wasylyshyn's stick at the side of the net before making it in the back of the net.

The boys passed the puck around most of the period and kept coming at Hamilton rush after rush. Finn Skuterud teamed up with Zack Cook to give the boys a 2 - 0 lead late in the second period as Zack shoveled the loose puck into the net. On the ensuing faceoff, Gavin Wilson picked up the puck and raced into Hamilton's area along with Hunter McMurdo. Gavin flipped the puck over to Hunter who went top shelf.

Hunter and the defensive core shut down Hamilton throughout the third period. Even when the boys were two men down, they did not allow any shots on net and kept shooting the puck out of the zone.

Great game boys, I guess a bit of extra rest was just what was needed.

Good luck Sunday against Brantford.
