MD Atom White vs Petrolia Oilers

The boys capped the Oilers with a 4 - 0 shutout win and earn a berth in the semi finals Sunday morning.

Despite a slow start to the game, Waterloo scored with three minutes left in the period. Aidan MacKinnon made the play happen deep in his zone as he battled one of the Oilers for the puck. Aidan dished the puck up the boards where Gavin Wilson collected the black disc and passed it over to Ethan Wasylyshyn. Ethan tucked the puck nicely under the pads of the Petrolia net minder. Less than two minutes later, Quade Willson skated the puck around, through and between Petrolia before dishing it off to Luca Terrenzio in front of the net. Luca slammed the puck in giving his team a 2 - 0 lead to end the period.

The team kept the puck deep in their opponents zone for most of the period. Quade and his defensive partner, Ethan Day, worked the blueline before Ethan took the shot from the top of the faceoff circle. Zack Cook picked up the juicy rebound making it 3 - 0.

Zack Cook worked the give an go with linemate Jake Millington putting the game out of reach early in the third period. Hunter Kechnie closed the door not allowing anything over the goal line. The wolves defense help solidify the shut out not allowing odd man rushes and keeping the puck away from their own net.

Good luck in the semi finals against St. Catharines on Sunday boys.
