A GOLDEN WEEKEND IN ROCHESTER
The Major Atom AA hockey club traveled to Rochester NY this past weekend to take part in the Rochester Invitational.

With an impressive showing a few weeks back at the Guelph Power Play tournament finishing as the runner up the boys were hungry to take the next step in Rochester.

The Wolves battled through the weekend finishing a perfect 5-0 playing some of their best hockey of the season.
Championships are created by having great team defense. This was evident as the team allowed only 6 goals and scoring 27 over the 5 games.

The final came down to two Canadian teams as the Wolves took on the St Catherines Falcons. The Wolves jumped on top early as Mac Roy went bar down on a penalty shot to jump start his teammates.
As the game moved along frustration started to set in as St Catherines would to take some undisciplined penalties. The Wolves kept their cool and completed the game with an empty net goal winning the final 4-1.

The weekend in Rochester enabled the boys to take in a Division One Hockey Game, a team lunch and a team pizza party and a lot of bonding.

On behalf of the team I want to thank April Scida and Nicola Class. These ladies do a lot of planning and organizing to make these tournaments a success. Without you the boys wouldn't have had the fun they did this weekend.
Your help is very much appreciated.

Congrats to all your boys for a successful weekend.
