Successful Food Drive
The Waterloo Wolves Major Atom AA & London Knights White took part in a very successful food drive on Sunday at Albert McCormick arena.
On behalf of both teams I want to thank all the family and friends who came out to contribute donations towards the KW Food Bank. As well we would like to thank our friends from the Atom Ice Wolves for coming by with their donations.
Special thanks to coach Brad Beer for accepting the invitation and having his London Knights participate alongside our boys.
Thanks to our volunteers who came forward with a helping hand Sunday. It was great to see the arena set up for everyone to indentify there was a food drive in place. As well to everyone who took the time after the game to grab a load and bring it out to pack the truck.
Your donations were dropped off this morning at the Food Bank and the total weigh in was an outstanding 1236lbs. The Food Bank was absolutely shocked that this total was collected in just one day.
What a great way to start the holiday season.
