Rec league teams are allowed to enter up to 2 tournaments in addition to our WMHA league schedule. Last year our team competed in the Jayden Elmore Memorial Tournament in London, ON and along with the rest of the Major Atom teams also competed in the Waterloo Fun Fest.
Given the good experience we had in London last year, we would
like to enter the Jayden Elmore tournament again. The tournament dates are
January 11 - 13, 2013. The team registration fee is $775 which works out to $51.67/player
if all 15 team members participate. I'll bring a handout to the game on
Saturday with some more detail on what is involved with a tournament. As long
as we have at least 10 skaters and 1 goalie committed then we will go ahead
with the tournament registration.
Since
the Waterloo Fun Fest only runs for the Major divisions, we won't be playing in
the Fun Fest this year, but we do have the option of entering a 2nd tournament.
Depending on the level of interest, I'd be happy to look at options for us to
enter a 2nd tournament.
