Backcheck, Backcheck, Backcheck
Great game last week guys!
Going in to the game we said our #1 goal for the game was to keep the goals against below 3. We got off to a rocky start, giving up 2 goals early in the first, but then everyone stepped up and we shut the doors for the rest of the game.
Our face offs looked a lot better. Remember that the most important job on a face off is to take your man. One of our best face offs led directly to a great breakout and a 2-on-1 that gave us our first goal.
I saw the D doing a better job tieing up attackers in front of our net and there were also some great backchecks by our forwards.
Let's keep focusing on our defensive play this weekend.
