Nice Way to End the Regular Season
Good work this weekend gentlemen. You've got a lot to be proud of right now. After starting out the season with 1 win and 6 losses in our 'first round', we finished up the 'second round' of the regular season with 3 wins, 3 ties and only 1 loss. That shows a solid commitment to teamwork and reflects your dedication both in the games and at practice.
In that first round we gave up a whopping 34 goals against but in the second round we cut that to a grand total of 9 goals against. That's a 75% improvement! Way to go!
Our scoring has improved a bit too. In the first round we had 17 goals and in the second round we increased that to 21 goals. That's a 25% improvement and it has a lot to do with us taking more shots and driving to the net for the rebounds. Good work!
Next week we have a couple of practices to help us get ready to start the Playoff round. Remember that we want everyone working at game speed in practice. Stepping up the effort in practice helps to build your strength and conditioning to go hard all game.
Our challenge in the Playoff round is to try and finish in the top 4 teams and earn a place in the A pool for the Championship tournament. If we keep playing as hard for the next 7 games as we have for the last 7 games then we have good chance of doing that.
