Atomc Red vs. Atomc Green
On a busy weekend of hockey, Red (6-4-2) won their first of two games against a skilled Green (8-3-1) team.

Red came out of the gates flying to start the first period.  Heavy fore-checking by Wagner, Paiva-Bernard, and Kytola as well as Sothern, Perry, and Smith set the tone to start the period.  With momentum behind them Annett, Noble, and Horvath went to work.  The line was able to score two goals only three minutes apart to give Red a quick 2-0 lead.

After the forwards started things off quickly, the defense took over.  Hankins and Kelly; Endres and McGoldrick; Domerchie and Reeve played a close to perfect game.  They were able to hold Green off of the score sheet for both the first and second period.  They continued their strong play into the third period after Green scored to cut the lead to one.

During the final few minutes, the entire team played excellent defensive hockey.  With the forwards back-checking well, along with the defense playing solid positions, the team was able to hold Green to few quality scoring chances.

Storms played another great game in goal.  He made the saves when called upon, backstopping his team to a 2-1 victory.
