Atomc Red vs. Atomc Green
Atomc Red (3-1-0) earned a victory in a close game against Atomc Green (2-2-0) on their only ice time of the weekend.

With a few players missing Red was forced to play through a few different line combinations.  This could explain a somewhat slow start to the game, but the team did eventually find their stride.  Midway through the first period Sothern, Paiva-Bernard, and Kytola were rewarded for a strong shift, scoring to give the team an early 1-0 lead.  Defenseman Hankins drew an assist on the play.

After a quick goal to start the game, neither team was able to score for the remainder of the first, and most of the second.  Defense pairings Reeve and Domerchie; Endres and Steffler; Hankins and McGoldrick played well, maintaining the lead through a few offensive lapses.  However, with just over a minute remaining Green scored to tie the game 1-1 heading into the third period.

It was in the third that the Red forwards finally found some jump in their game.  Annett, Horvath, and Sothern scored at the midway point of the period to regain a one goal lead.  Smith, Annett, and Perry followed it up two minutes later to score a key insurance goal, bringing the score to 3-1.  That would prove to be all the offense Red would need, as defenseman Endres scored a late goal to make the final score 4-1.

Noble played a good game after being moved from the wing to center.  The same can be said for McGoldrick who moved from the wing to defense.  The whole team was able to play disciplined hockey, with zero penalties throughout the game.

Goaltender Storms had another good game.  He was called upon a few times in the second period and he was able to answer, keeping Red in the game until the team found their stride.

Red plays their final game of the playoffs March 17 against Atomc White (0-3-1).
