ATOMc Blue, Major Atom Recreation 2002, 2012-2013 (Waterloo Minor Hockey)

         At 7:30 in the morning on Sunday, March 17th, the ATOMc Blue Fireballs took to the ice for their final game of the regular season.  They would be facing ATOMc Green, a team they had struggled to defeat prior to the Christmas Tournament, but had been more successful against since.  Needless to say, both of these teams wanted to conclude their seasons with a win and hoped to head into next weekend’s tournament with victory on their minds.

         The ATOMc Blue Fireballs and ATOMc Black had had a great rivalry all season long, and both teams usually brought out the best in the other.  These two teams took to the ice on Sunday morning for each team’s second last game of the regular season.  After shaking hands at center ice, Lucas B., Jackson M. and Jett S. remained on the ice to take the face-off, as did Michael R. and Josh R. on the blue line.  Luke C. was as ready as always in his crease, and the game got underway with the initial puck drop.
