Wolves Battle Back - Earn Tie with Georgetown
The Minor Bantam Select Wolves traveled to Milton on Sunday to take on the Georgetown Raiders and fought their way back to a 4-4 draw when Zac Scanlan scored midway through the final frame.

The Wolves seemed to be in full control of the game battling back from a 1-0 deficit in the first minute of the game when Jonathon Fuller-Hondt ripped one high and past the Georgetown goaltender's glove with just 0:42 left in the first.  The goal was unassisted.

The fast pace and strong skating of the Wolves saw them take the lead just under two minutes into the second period when Aidan Fife put one top shelf on a nice feed by Mark Munro.  The Wolves then built their lead to 3-1 when Xander Boston put one through the five hole at 6:40 of the second.  Assists went to Braydon Hahn and Jonathon Fuller-Hondt.

The Wolves then had to find out what they were made of when Georgetown scored three quick goals in less than a minute the final 1:14 of the second.  The went to the intermission leading Waterloo 4-3.

The boys were told to go back to what was successful almost the entire game for them and they responded.  By keeping things simple, working the lanes and believing in why we've been working on skating and passing conditioning, Zac Scanlan worked his way to the net on a Nick Gregory shot and got credit for tipping in the game tying goal.

It's a long season and lessons learned early will hopefully prove to be fruitful for our boys.  They have a chance to respond right back when Georgetown returns this Sunday at 11:00 am at the Rec Complex.

The Wolves then take to the road to play in the Marshall Drewnowsky Memorial Tournament beginning Friday November 18th at 6:15 pm vs. the York Mills Rangers.
