Wolves and Jr. Rangers Battle to 2-2 Tie
The Waterloo Minor Bantam Select Wolves came charging out of the gate on Sunday and opened the season vs their arch-rivals from Kitchener in a rematch of last season's Alliance Championship final.

The Wolves opened the scoring on a goal by Braydon Hahn with assists going to Xander Boston and Michael Elias.  Despite dominating most of the first period, Waterloo could only head to the break tied at 1.
Kitchener took the lead midway through the second period.  But the Wolves kept on battling and skating hard, including an amazing backchecking display by Elias.
Boston evened the score at 2 midway through the third.  Hahn and Jonathon Fuller-Hondt picked up the helpers.
The Wolves pressed hard on a power play during the final two minutes of the game but could not get one past the Kitchener netminder.  Both Carter Habel and Noah Small put in excellent efforts in their 2011-12 Select debuts.

The Wolves return to the ice next Sunday evening when they travel to Milton to take on Georgetown at Thompson Memorial Arena.  Game time is set for 7pm.  I hear good seats are still available ;-)
