Weekend Update
The Ice Wolves faced off against Cambridge for a Saturday night tilt.
The Ice Wolves went down early 3-0. It wasn't til the third period when precision passing on the breakout and driving hard to the net would result in the teams only goal. Sam V with the goal and assisting on the play Cooper S. The final score 4-1 Cambridge.
Shots were 14-9 in favour of Cambridge.
The Ice Wolves on their second road game of the weekend would travel to Hamilton to take on the Phantoms.
The team was pumped. They came out of the gates with bite, scoring on their first shift. The Ice Wolves would add another to go up 2-0. Hamilton would mount the comeback tying the game at 2. But the Ice Wolves energy was too much this day. The Ice Wolves would add two more to take the game 4-2.
Cooper S with 1 goal 2 assists, Jack E 1 goal, Sam R 1 assist and Sam V with 2 goals 1 assist.
The defense core of Connor L, Connor T, Hayden S, Josh L, Owen K, Simon D were a wall in the last period blocking many shots and clearing the puck from harm in scrums out front the crease. The Ice Wolves outshot their opponent 19-9. Ty W with the win in goal. Great work team.
