Minor Atom Select Wolves win one, lose one this week
The Waterloo Minor Atom Select Wolves finished even in games against the Kitchener Jr. Rangers and the Orangeville Flyers.
The Wolves battled hard for a 2-0 win against the Kitchener Jr. Rangers on December 1. After a scoreless first period, Aidan Krueger put the Wolves on the board near the midway point of the second. Michael Huntley scored in the third to seal the win. Ian Gregg and Scott Voisin assisted. Goalies Daniel Bosomworth and Christopher Faclaris shared the shutout.
On December 5, the Wolves lost 5-2 against the visiting Orangeville Flyers. Waterloo opened the scoring, but the Flyers scored two to close out the first period. The Flyers took charge in the second, but the Wolves skated hard in the third to keep the game close. Johnathon Mayer scored the lone Wolves goal in the third, assisted by Terry Witzel.
