PEEWEE SELECT BRING HOME SILVER! After starting the tournament off losing 4-0 to Kitchener in Group A, the Peewee Wolves bounced back in game 2 by winning 3-2 over the Cambridge Hornets on Saturday morning. Waterloo then faced the Dofasco Steelhawks in the afternoon and thumped them 7-0. With this win, Waterloo had the 4th best record (it came down to goals for/against) out of the 12 teams & advanced to the ¼ finals where they played the Chedoke Express and won 2-1 in overtime (it was their 3rd game of the day). Sunday morning Waterloo played the Coronation Bengals and won 3-2 in overtime. This win put Waterloo in the Championship game against none other than Kitchener, who defeated the Brantford Saints 5-2 in the other semi. Kitchener scored first on a rebound, but Waterloo bounced right back to tie the game. With 3 minutes left in the 2nd , Kitchener scored off a scramble in front of the net to take the lead for good. Waterloo put pressure on in the 3rd period, but Kitchener was able to handle this and when Waterloo pulled their goalie late in the game, Kitchener dumped the puck from inside their Blue line and the puck found its way into the net for a 3-1 final.  The Waterloo Wolves played with heart and never game up throughtout the Alliance Championships and took home Silver for the 2nd straight year.

In their last game of the regular season, the Waterloo Peewee Wolves lost to a determined Kitchener team. From the drop of the puck, the Rangers were all over the Wolves until Eric Grierson's shot from just outside the slot found the back of the net to give the Wolves a surprised 1-0 lead going into the 2nd period. Brayden MacDonald assisted on the goal. After this goal, it was all Kitchener as the goaltending duo of Samuel Fenton & Matthew Chan faced over 24 shots in the 3-1 loss
