Minor Atom Select Wolves lose season opener
The Waterloo Minor Atom Select Wolves played an exciting first game against the Guelph Jr. Storm over the weekend, despite losing 5-3.
The Jr. Storm opened the scoring, but Waterloo’s Aidan Krueger quickly countered with a goal to get the Wolves on the board. Liam Fast provided a wraparound pass for the assist. The Jr. Storm followed with two more goals to close out the first period. Both teams worked hard and traded goals in the second and third periods.
Other goal scorers for Waterloo were Fast (assisted by Michael Huntley) and Curtis Franz (unassisted).
