Henry's Suffer Tough Loss
Henry's came out ready for Schlueter Hyundai, playing an up tempo game with lots of chances at both ends.
Hyundai seemed at times to dominate play, but with great defensive efforts, and top notch goaltending, Henry's kept it close. Hyundai's #10 took a hooking penalty with 4:25 left in the first. There was many chances thrown at the Hyundai net, but Henry's could not bury one. After killing the penalty, Hyundai's #14 scored unassisted with just 44.2 seconds left in the period. Hyundai pressed on again to finish the period, and resulted in Henry's #13 taking a hooking penalty. Henry's killed off the penalty, and #1 made some great saves. The score remained 1-0 after two periods of play. In the 3rd period, some great team effort to get the puck out of the zone, with passes from #11 and #2, #16, playing defense, streaked up the ice, cutting outside the "D" for Hyundai and flicked the puck high glove side on #30 to tie the score at 1, with 7:37 remaining in the period. 3 minutes later, Hyundai's #7 was called for tripping. The powerplay started off strong, but after a whistle on a save by Henry's goaltender, the ensuing faceoff resulted in a weak shot by Hyundai's #14 to dribble five hole and the short handed marker made the score 2-1. In the dying minutes of the game, with the goalie pulled, Henry's had some rushes near and the net, a shot sent high over the net, one missing the net just wide glove side, and with the puck tied up by Hyundai's bench, the horn sounded. Again, the boys played a hard game, with good team work, some very heart pounding moments for the coaches as the "D" tried to rush the puck through all 5 opposition players, and some very timely saves, making for an exciting game for the fans. Henry's next game is Sunday November 14th vs JDI Cleaning. GO HENRY'S GO!!!
