Playoffs Start!!
The playoffs started with a fantastic effort by Henry's against Skills Plus. With Henry's missing their regular goalie, a defenseman, and a forward, they played a great game and had a herculean effort from their first time goal keeper...#12.
Although Henry's lost a close game 3-1, it was a game filled with good defense and timely plays. The first period ended tied 0-0. Late in the second, Skills Plus opened the scoring at the 6:13 mark with a goal that was scored with a play that should have been blown down for off side. Just 24 seconds later, another goal was scored by Skills Plus after a save by #12, and then after some continuous banging at the hands of the goalie, the puck came loose and was put into the net. In the third period, another goal was scored by Skills Plus to put them up by 3, just 43 seconds into the frame.
Henry's scored 6:12 into the 3rd and looked to be coming on strong. The goal by #6 game came on a pass from #3. The team kept the pressure on, but were unable to get another.
A great effort by the team, and I am sure that there will be more to follow, and different results.
Henry's next game is Sunday February 20th at 8:30, vs. JDI.
