We’re excited to officially welcome all players and families to the Waterloo Wolves U15 AAA tryout process!
Our coaching staff is looking forward to a competitive, transparent, and positive evaluation window where players can showcase not only their skill—but also their love for the game, character, compete, and team-first mentality. At the U15 level, we’re not just building a team—
we’re building a culture.
We're looking for players who are excited to be at the rink, willing to put in the work, and ready to embrace the process of development.
🔹 What We’re Looking For - We want to be
transparent about what we’re looking for and what matters most to us as a staff. These are the three must-have qualities that will guide our evaluation process throughout tryouts.
1- Love for the Game
2- Urgency
3- Be a Good Teammate.
We’ll be evaluating players in additional key areas:
Technical Skills (skating, puck control, shooting, passing, non puck skills)
Game Awareness & Situational Play
Compete Level & Confidence
Communication, Leadership, and Team Presence
Coachability and Character
Remember: We value effort and attitude just as much as technical skill. Control the input—bring energy, focus, and a willingness to grow every time you step on the ice.
🔸 Tryout #1 Details
📅 Date: [April 21st 2025]
🕗 Time: 8:00 PM
📍 Location: Albert McCormick Arena
🆚 Format: Black vs. Gold Game
Upon arrival, players will be greeted by u15 Coaching staff at the front entrance.
They’ll provide each player with:
✅ Your official tryout jersey
✅ A welcome package
✅
Your unique tryout number, which will be used throughout the process.
Players should arrive 60 minutes before the session, bring off-ice warm-up gear, and be ready to prep with the group before hitting the ice.We’re looking forward to a great start and can’t wait to see the compete level on full display.Let’s make this a memorable experience.
