DEVELOPMENT 1 (D1) : COACHING CLINICS AVAILABLE AUGUST 2021
Submitted By Tracey Williams on Mon 08 02, 21
"Development 1: Certified/Trained" qualification* is a requirement to be rostered as a Head Coach and/or Assistant Coach for several age divisions with Representative Teams.

The ALLIANCE is hosting four (4) D1 clinics in the month of August.

These clinics will be held virtually through Zoom, to maintain current health and safety protocols related to COVID.

Registration will be live as of Tuesday, August 3, at 12:00PM with priority provided to ALLIANCE Hockey Member Association Coaches.

Click HERE to access more information and for the registration link (via the ALLIANCE website).

*Development 1 Certification is different than Coach 1 - these are 2 separate requirements and are NOT interchangeable - please see the ALLIANCE Hockey MINIMUM COACHING REQUIREMENTS CHART for the 2021-22 Season, by clicking HERE. The Chart will detail what requirements are necessary for each role and level of Coaching.

If you have any questions or require more information, please reach out to our
AAA/AA Director, Ted Brewer at [email protected],
our MD Director, Steve Ahlberg at [email protected] or
the Hockey Office at [email protected]

NOTE: The WMHA fully reimburses ACTIVE Coaches for the cost of required clinics like the Development 1 Clinic. You can request reimbursement for the cost by filling out the Reimbursement form on our website, here: https://waterloominorhockey.com/Forms/2259/Expense_Reimbursement_Request/
