U14 Wolves Are Bristol Champions!
The U14 A/AA Wolves bring home the Bristol Championship.

After a slow start (6-13-1) to the season. The team worked hard and came together to earn a 21-3-6 record from November 25 on earning first place in the Bristol Division, and a first round bye in the playdowns.

The Semi-final round found the Wolves facing the London Mustangs White.

Game 1 for the Wolves was a slow start and a little rust losing in OT 3-2.
Game 2 and 3 the Wolves were dominant winning 4-0 and 4-2.
Game 3 in London the Wolves were up against some questionable officiating resulting in a 3-3 tie after OT and a couple of questionable suspensions.
Game 4 was a hard fought game. The Wolves fought hard to secure the victory 1-0 sending the London team home for the season.

The final round found the Wolves facing the Woodstock Navy Vets.

Game 1 was a back and fourth game. Whoever scored last wins kind of game. After giving up a PP goal the the third period to go down 4-3 the team rallied 2 unanswered goals to win 5-4.
Game 2 was much tighter checking. Having been blanked on the PP in game 1 the Wolves got 2 PP goals in game 2 earning the victory 2-1.
Game 3 the Wolves having played games 1 and 2 at home were on the road. Woodstock opened the scoring early in the second period. They held on until late in the second when the Wolves scored just after a Woodstock penalty ended. The third period went scoreless with both teams having some chances. In the dying seconds of the third Woodstock sent the Wolves to the PP. It took the Wolves 33 seconds to win the faceoff, drive the Woodstock zone and set up the PP. After a play from low to high and a great D shot the rebound sat waiting and was knocked home for the PP goal and a 3 game sweep to victory.

A well deserved ending for a team that worked very hard to get better as the season progressed, topped off by a 6-1-1 playdown performance.

Congratulations Wolves on a season to remember!
