MD Peewee White keep Brantford in the Basement
Austin Zappitelli electrifies the Civic Center and overshadows Superbowl Sunday!

The wolves, who were hungry fresh off their win last weekend, took it to Brantford early in the period and kept the puck in the offensive zone for the first few minutes of the period. Some nice passing allowed Waterloo a couple of glorious opportunities but were denied drawing first blood. Brantford scored two quick goals at the end of the first to put the wolves in a hole.

Luckily, the boys had their shovels in hand when Hayden Taylor picked up a loose puck on Brantford's blueline. Hayden took two strides and blistered a low slap shot along the ice to cut the lead in half. Brantford kept coming hard at Waterloo as Austin Zappitelli stopped all 54 shots on net in the period. Nothing was getting past him. Quade Willson got in on some goaltending action as he blocked the puck off his ankle to stop Brantford from scoring.

45 seconds into the third, Enoch Banjo shot the puck through the crowd, off the post and into the net making the match all square. Waterloo got into some penalty trouble but easily killed of both penalties in the period. Brantford seemed desperate to get the win but Austin would have nothing to do with it. He stopped several chances in close to keep the game in hand. In the dying second of the third, Brantford had a breakaway on Austin but were turned away empty handed.

Great game boys and a spectacular display of goaltending by the "Zap Man"

Austin Zappitelli takes all three players of the game awards!

Good luck next Friday against Cambridge.
