MD Peewee White move one step closer to a playoff berth.
Kitchener was not “Red”-y for the Waterloo’s wolf attack as the boys earned a 3 – 2 win.

The first period had Kitchener push Waterloo back in their zone when the team went down 1 – 0 early in the game. Waterloo kept working hard and had several chances to put the puck in the net to tie the game up. It was another fluky play that put the team down 2 – 0 late in the period. That seemed to spark the boys as they dominated the play for the rest of the period and nearly banged the puck in with a few seconds left.

Waterloo controlled the play in the period and kept Kitchener out of Waterloo’s zone. Kitchener managed to keep the puck out of the net as the boys ripped up the ice and drove the net hard. Waterloo nearly got on the board with a bullet from the point that squeaked past the Kitchener net minder and rolled just wide of the goal line. The shot clock for the 2nd period was Waterloo 22, Kitchener 0.

Waterloo started the comeback in the final period. A point shot from Darth Quader found its way over to the far post where Obi-Wan Holtzer buried the puck cutting Kitchener’s lead in half. With Waterloo on the power play, the boys were in deep jamming the net. Enoch Banjo had a few whacks at the loose puck, then Andrew Z-D nearly put the puck in the net on the same play. Darth Quader picked up Z-D’s rebound and gingerly lifted the puck into the net to tie things up. To finish off the comeback, Andrew Z-D jumped on the loose puck at the blue line and drove around the net. On his way around he cut in hard and backhanded the puck in the smallest of openings high glove side giving the team the lead with only 6 minutes to play in the game. Waterloo’s defense took it from there as Kitchener could not muster much offense.

Great work boys. You showed true toughness and kept coming hard when you were behind the eight ball. You never quit and kept your feet moving.
