MD Peewee White were on the “Proulx” in Hamilton
Waterloo hammers the Hamilton Huskies Red with a 5 – 2 thrashing in an early action match.

Waterloo strutted their stuff this afternoon as their drive for the playoffs continues with a dominating performance on the road. The team stepped up their game two levels as they never let Hamilton out of their own zone the entire first period. The boys were first to the puck, forced the turnover time after time. Hamilton Red never knew what hit them when Matthew Thomas was the recipient of a tape to tame pass as the tem went up 1 – 0 with 2:23 to play in the first period.

The wolves were not done as the relentless attack of the Huskies forced a faceoff deep in Hamilton’s zone. Gavin Wilson won the face off back to the point where Lucas Skanes fired a low, hard slap shot from the point that found its way to the back of the net. Logan Van Cromvoirt took the net for the second consecutive game while Austin Zappitelli was nursing a lower body injury. Logan came up huge a couple of times in the period. Waterloo went up 3 – 1 on the first of Chaz Proulx’s two goals in the game

Early in the third, Chaz let his new stick do all the talking as he was allowed to waltz in untouched and buried the puck high stick side giving his team a 4 – 1 lead. Waterloo never took their foot off the pedal as Hayden Taylor dished the puck over to the open winger, Easton “Obi-Wan” Holtzer who made no mistake finding the net.

Great game boys, that is exactly how you need to play when you face the Brantford 99ers next Sunday.

The Wolves of the game were:

Chaz Proulx

Lucas Skanes
