Minor Bantam AAA: 1/3 into season
The Waterloo Wolves - Minor Bantam AAA's coached by Todd Townsend are (unbelievably) already 1/3 of the way through their season. Below is an overview of the season so far and what's to come in the middle portion of the schedule.

The season began with an exhibition weekend of 4 games in August, followed in September by the Toronto Red Wings Early Bird tournament and the Alliance Minor Bantam Showcase in Komoka. Most recently the team played in the Bauer Motown Classic in Michigan (this past weekend, Oct 19-21). Meanwhile, interspersed between those weekends have been 10 league games.

Overall, it's been a good start to the season highlighted by a quarter-final berth at the Red Wings Early Bird tournament; 3 wins and 1 loss at the Alliance Showcase; and 9 wins and 1 loss in Alliance regular season games.

However, coming off 3 straight losses at the Motown Classic to strong teams like the NE Wisconsin Gamblers, Team Illinois and the Mississauga Rebels, everyone associated with the team understands that there is plenty of room for growth - despite a strong overall (13-5-1) record so far this season.

Having a fun group of boys and great coaches, the Minor Bantam AAA group is looking forward to the middle portion of the season with: 12 Alliance regular season games and the Vaughan Kings Classic Tournament scheduled before Christmas; but highlighted by a Friendship Day with the Kitchener Ice Pirates special needs hockey program on December 15th at Activa.
