Novice MD Black Runs Into Tough Hamilton Squad
Two-game win streak is snapped by the smooth skating Huskies. But the Wolves didn't go down without a fight.

The boys from Steeltown paid a visit to Waterloo on Saturday and looked to be in mid-season form. Hamilton was flying but the Wolves weathered the storm early by getting pucks out of the defensive zone and doing their best to get on the attack. Hamilton took a 2-goal lead when a nice play by Preston M. led to a Wyatt N. goal. The Wolves stuck with Hamilton for about half the game, but the wheels quickly started to fall off in the third. A few quick goals by Hamilton left the Wolves searching for answers. A nice breakaway goal by Luca S. was one of the few bright spots in the third for the Wolves as the boys seemed deflated. Solid goaltending again by Maguire K. and Daniel L. as they were peppered by 34 shots. In the end, Hamilton cruised to an 8-2 victory. Congratulations to Josh H. who earned the coaches' nod for hardest worker of the game. The Wolves host Burlington next Saturday before travelling to Brantford to face the 99ers on Sunday.
