Big road win for the Wolves
The MD Novice Black Wolves took on their crosstown rivals in Kitchener on the weekend and pulled out a hard fought victory.
The Wolves took on the Kitchener Rangers (Blue) on Saturday as their only game of the weekend. After a scoreless first period, Wyatt N. converted a nice pass from Preston M. to put the Wolves up 1-0. The boys went ahead to 2-0 on a great one-timer from Nathan L. Heading into the third, the Wolves looked poised to finish off the Rangers. But the Rangers didn't quit and got one back with a bouncing shot that got by the goalie. With time running out and the Rangers net empty, the Wolves held the fort together to win the game 2-1. The defense corps played very well including some nice plays by Heath E. and Jonathan V.H. Congratulations to goalies Daniel L. and Maguire K. who stopped all but one to share the hard hat for the game!
