Wolves have a mixed weekend
The Novice Black Wolves get back into action after the holidays with a win and a loss.

The Wolves traveled to Stratford for a rare Saturday night main event. The boys had to shake off their holiday legs to compete with the much improved Jr. Warriors. The Wolves took a one goal lead into the second half of the game when Preston M. converted Jonathan V.H.'s clearing up the boards to make it 2-0. Lukas D. and Joel V. added a couple of more and the Wolves cruised to a 4-0 win. Congratulations to Maguire K. with the shutout win and Brian N. who worked hard and was awarded the coaches' hardhat.

On Sunday, the Wolves tangled with the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets which turned out to be a great game. The game went back and forth and although the Wolves had many chances and a few breakaways, they were unable to solve the Woodstock netminder. With six minutes to play, Woodstock fired a puck top shelf to take a 1-0 lead. The Wolves didn't give up (as is our team motto) and tried hard to equalize the contest. With the Waterloo net empty, Woodstock held the fort and the Wolves came up just short. A great game by Daniel L. in net and congratulations to Preston M. who won his first hardhat award of the season #welldone66.
