Every Which Way But "Lose"
Another action-packed and fun-filled weekend of hockey brought to you by our amazing group of boys, ATOMc Green Machine!

The coaches introduced a team motto this weekend in preparation for our Sunday game against AtoMc Silver, the Christmas Tournament, and the last half of the season. SMART. FAST. STRONG. EVERY SHIFT. EVERY GAME. With that in mind, the boys served up a buffet of hockey styles this weekend. They clawed and battled to get into the game after a slow start Friday night against AtoMc Black. They showed great character to put the first period behind them, dig deep and fight their way to earn 2 points in a 3-1 win. "Smart Player of the Game" honours went to Stefano P for his tireless efforts to apply puck pressure on the opponents in every zone.
Matthew T also had an exceptional game holding the line and getting pucks deep. Saturday morning saw an uncharacteristic game from AtoMc Green but nevertheless they found a way to make it all work with a 8-5 barn-burner victory over AtoMc Yellow. Congratulations to Matthew V for carrying the team on the strength of his 6 goals! Landon C was "Smart Player of the Game" because he started and finished all of his puck battles on the blue lines with 2nd, 3rd and even 4th efforts. The highlight of the weekend was ending AtoMc Silver's winning streak in what the coaches thought was a full team and nearly-full game effort. AtoMc Green played a nearly flawless game to earn a 4-2 victory. Our "Smart Player of the Game", Daniel E turned in an absolute dominant performance on defense with incredibly strong outs, great angles, and heads-up puck movement to clear the defensive zone. "Crash" Carter N did a great job getting to the net and made the Silver goalie work just to keep AtoMc Green's goal tally at 4.
Have a Merry Christmas! We'll see everyone on Dec. 27.
