Belleville update 2
Waterloo faced a tough opponent this morning from Kanata. Waterloo fell behind 1-0 in the 1st period and where unable to even the score till the 2nd period. Then in the 3rd period, scored the extra goal to take the lead in the game. Facing a barrage of offence in the final minutes of the game, Waterloo defended their lead, won the game and skated off the ice with 4 of 5 points to add to their weekend total now of 11.5 out 15 points.

Though posting a  record of 2-0-1and accumulated game awarded points of 11.5 of 15 the way to the semi’s still remains unclear. Tonight’s game will be a pivotal  point in determining our destiny this weekend as the Nepean Raiders have a similar record and are evenly determined to move onto Sunday’s  play downs.

Facing Nepean Raiders tonight in a pivotal game. The 1st period was an even back and forth battle that seen  goaltenders duelling with incredible saves at both ends. Nepean managed to get on scoreboard first and won the period 1-0. The second period was another battle that kept the goals to zero at both ends. It looked as if the 3rd period would end up the same as the 2nd period with no goals, but Waterloo rolled the dice again and pulled the goalie in the hopes of tying the game. After several attempts in Nepean’s end the Raiders broke free and scored an open netter with 8 seconds left on the clock.

Waterloo Ice Wolves will still advance to the semi’s tomorrow holding down3rd place and will face the Kanata Blazers
