A Win in Woodstock
The Ice Wolves travelled west on the 401 for rematch against Woodstock on Saturday. Last week’s tilt decided nothing as both teams drew even at 1-1. Saturdays road game saw the Wolves play a disciplined and gritty game. It looked as if this one was heading for a 0-0 draw till Waterloo popped the 1st of the game in the 3rd period. While still maintaining a gritty disciplined game and pinning Woodstock in their d-zone most of that period Waterloo grabbed the insurance marker to finish the game 2-0 on the road. Goaltending maintained focus throughout this game as was rewarded with a shutout. The Ice Wolves are determined to place themselves into the upper tier of our league standings. They are now in a 3 way tie for 4th place and only 5 points out of 1st place.
