Great Goaltending Weekend
The Peewee Gold Wolves faced two tough teams this weekend and came away with 4 points.
Saturday night saw a visit to London to face the Jr Knights Green team. London came out flying but Waterloo weathered the storm thanks to a great performance in net by Bosomworth. Waterloo finally found their legs in the 2nd half of the game and took control. A late goal by London made for a nervous final few second, but Waterloo held on for a 3-2 win. Sunday saw Woodstock come to Waterloo looking to avenge a 4-0 defeat earlier in the year. Woodstock played a great game, only to be outdone by Parrott in the pipes for Waterloo who calmly swatted away all but 1 of Woodstock's shots. Waterloo again had a slow start, but buried 3 in the 3rd, to take a 3-1 lead and had many other great opportunities on odd man rushes as Woodstock began to press to come back. Up next for Waterloo is the Scotiabank Cup in Mississauga this weekend. Good job boys.
