Ice Wolves win 2nd Tourney
Waterloo Peewee Ice Wolves MD team won their second tournament of the season this past weekend at the Festival of Friendship tournament in Cambridge.
After 2-2 ties against Waterloo Timber Wolves and Cambridge Hawks, the Ice Wolves finished the round robin with a 3 – 1 win over the Hamilton Tigers. The semi finals placed The Wolves against the Tigers again with Waterloo winning on a shootout goal by Aidan Fife and three key shootout saves by Andrew Vanwynsberghe. Waterloo played a strong final against Kitchener Jr. Rangers Blue with 2 goals by Evan Kennedy and 1 by Brad Vander Vleuten to win 3 – 0. Strong goaltending by Jordy Frank resulted in the shutout. Congratulations Ice Wolves!!!
