The Ice Wolves needed a win to keep their season alive, but it was not meant to be as they tied the visiting Hamilton Cyclones 2-2. Waterloo got on the scoreboard early when Colin Kim intercepted a pass at the blue line spotted Matt Buck high in the slot. Buck roofed the puck past the goalie and the Ice Wolves had the early lead. The lead did not last long as Hamilton scored twice before the period ended to take the lead. Owen Fenton was able to tie the game when his 360 spin low in the slot fooled the goalie and the Ice Wolves were even going into the final period. The Ice Wolves gave everything they had, but could not get the puck in the net. As the buzzer sounded, so did the Ice Wolves season.
