It didn't take long for the Waterloo Bears to secure their first win of the season!! With a solid performance from all the players and despite a warm, sticky puck, the Bears pulled out a 1-0 win over a New Hamburg Novice team with both 7 and 8 year olds.
Ronan and Ian combined for the shutout making some spectacular saves along the way. The forwards and defense also played great by skating hard, making some great passes and hustling back on defense all game.
There can only be one recipient of the Super Wolf. Considering the score was 1-0, the coaching staff felt that the Super Wolf award should go to our game-winning goal scorer, Alexander Hoskins!! We must also mention the goal wouldn't have been possible without the great teamwork of his linemates, Owen Beselaere and Michael Ewart, who made the pass from behind the net to setup Alex.
