On Sunday March 8th, the Bears battled a Novice House League Team from New Hamburg. It was a tight-checking affair but the Bears were victorious!
The Bears won by a score of 2-1. The first goal was scored by Onyx Spark, who after 3 determined whacks, hammered the puck to the back of the net. Assists on the goal went to Isaac Cruickshank and Owen Beselaere.
The 2nd goal was scored by Patrick Wilson. On a great pass from Zachary Gillison, and using Caleb Gawel as a decoy, Patrick fired hit through the 5-hole.
The coaching staff would also like to recognize Ian George and Michael Ewart for their outstanding effort. Ian was amazing on defense and Michael was 1 minute away from a shutout and made some great saves throughout the game.
The player that really stood out with an amazing level of effort, was Mack Szumlinski. He was playing defense for the first time and did a great job moving the puck up to his forwards and an even better job 'protecting the house'!
Mack is the Super Wolf!
Congratulation Mack!!
