MD - Minor Peewee Black vs Brantford 99ers
Waterloo picked up a solid point with a 1 -1 tie against the 99ers.

Waterloo controlled the game as they barely allowed Brantford much opportunities to get into the game. Only 3 shots made it past the defense in the first period. Quade Willson rushed up the ice and nearly opened the scoring with a backhanded that handcuffed the Brantford net-minder.

The wolves kept the pressure on Brantford forcing them to head to the "sin bin". The team's power play has been sharp and it only took the boys 20 seconds to get on the board. Hunter McMurdo drew the puck over to Michael Wei on the face off. Michael banked the puck back to Jack Murtha. Jack fired a low screamer that found the mark.

For the 5th game in a row, the boys were down two men; twice in the third period. The first time, the team setup the box perfectly and kept any loose pucks off to the side. Brantford got a late game gift as Waterloo sent two boys to the box. Brantford took advantage of the penalty and pulled the goalie giving them a 6 on 3 for over one minute. The wolves did their best to hold them off but with just 4 seconds remaining, Brantford tied the game at one apiece.

Great game boys, back to back shutouts allowed you to go over 180 minutes of hockey before allowing any goals. Well done!

Good luck in Guelph next weekend at your first tournament of the season.
