Prospective U15BB players and Parents!We're excited to get our 2024 - 2025 U15BB team selected.
This year’s group of evaluators will be made up of all non parents and the head
coach. Players will be evaluated on multiple facets throughout our tryouts and
where you played last year does not automatically give or take away a
spot on this team.
By trying out for this team players acknowledge that they
may not play their favorite position, coaches will make decisions based on
giving the team the best chance to be successful and develop throughout the
season.
Aside from the hockey skills, coaches will be strongly
focusing on attitudes and coachability.
Details on Tryouts:
Registration
All players MUST be Waterloo residents and MUST be
registered and paid in full to WMHA prior to stepping on the ice!
Tryouts will consist of the following:
Thursday May 9th
Evaluation Skate
8:30pm - 10:00pm
Waterloo Rec Complex
Friday May 10th
Exhibition Game @ Kitchener Blue
8:00pm
Activa Sports Complex
Saturday May 11th
Exhibition Game vs Kitchener Blue
6:00pm
Waterloo Rec Complex
Sunday May 12th
Exhibition Game @ Brantford 99ers
6:00pm
Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre
All players are expected to be 45 minutes
early to the evaluation ice time. Please sign in at the table.
All players are expected to be 60 minutes
early to Exhibition games with proper warm up gear. No jeans or hats.
All players listed and continuing on with tryouts
are expected to be in attendance for all ice times.
Player Releases
The list of players continuing on with the tryout
process will be posted the morning following every ice time unless specified. Any player that does
not see their name has been released.
Tryouts are taxing to all and I fully understand that.
Understand that releasing any player is not easy but is part of the process. If
you would like feedback on your released player, please wait 48 hours
after the final team has been posted to request feedback from the coaches.
