Welcome To 2024-25 Wolves U14 BB Tryouts!
We
are excited to get our 2024-25 team selected! Please note that all
communication will be done through our team website. Here are a few items
to take note of:
Registration
- All players MUST be residents of Waterloo and be registered and paid with
Waterloo Minor Hockey ahead of the tryout or else the player CANNOT go on the
ice.
Schedule
- Due to limited ice availability in Waterloo this spring, our tryout period is
very limited and condensed. Please note
that we have no control over the scheduling of the tryouts.
- However we are prepared to select our team within this short time period.

Please arrive at least 60 minutes before the first tryout to sign in at the
desk and receive your practice jersey. After the first tryout, please keep the
jersey with you as you will be wearing the same jersey for our Black vs Gold
game. The jerseys are to be handed back after the Black vs Gold game.

Hawks
Releases
- Releases will occur beginning after the Black vs Gold intersquad game and
after the last exhibition game. The
releases will be posted online and we will do our best to have this done in a
timely manner.

Only those players continuing on in the tryouts will be listed.
- If you would like feedback on your players release, please wait 48 hours
after the final team roster has been posted prior to contacting the coaches.
- Please remember that we coaches are tasked with choosing the most complete
team. Releasing players is not a fun part of the job, but it is a necessary
requirement.
- Please note that there are NO guarantees on making these team! What we mean by that is: Just because the
player was on the U13 BB team does not guarantee that they will be on the team
this year. Just because a player played
U13 AA/A last year does not guarantee that they will make this team. Finally, just because a player played in U13
house league or select, does not preclude them from making this team either.

We are looking for skilled, hardworking hockey players with positive attitudes
who will fit within the vision we have for our team this year. We are going to be a hardworking team while
still achieving our main goal of the team having a FUN hockey experience!

Selecting this team is going to be as challenging and we apologize in advance for breaking the hearts of players who
are not chosen for this team.
Season At A Glance
- Between practices and games, we are anticipating being on the ice a minimum
of 3 to 4 times per week. We understand that a player may need to miss a
practice or even a game here or there due to 'life' happening however it is our
expectation that players making this team will be at every ice time / team
function.
- Our confirmed tournaments are as follows:
Sep 20 thru 22 – Hespeler
Shamrocks Early Bird, Cambridge Ontario
Nov 15 thru 17 – Welland Little NHL Tournament, Welland Ontario
Jan 3 thru 5 – Halton Hills Thunder Memorial Tournament, Halton Hills Ontario
4th Tournament - TBD

Assuming our season is as successful as we hope it will, there is Alliance
Championship tournament that we will be part of.
- Lastly we want to draw your attention to and ask that you review the Waterloo
Minor Hockey Rep Hockey manual for 2024-25 as it relates to how the BB program
is to be run ie/ division of ice time, team budgets, tournament play etc. The BB program runs differently than the AAA
and AA/A programs and we will be following these procedures and guidelines.
