The Wolves Welcome a New Head Coach!
A warm welcome from Tyler Ertel. Leaving the Waterloo U16 AAA Wolves marks a significant moment in my coaching journey. The previous season was an absolute whirlwind of triumphs, camaraderie, and memorable victories that led to clinching the Alliance Championship title and a remarkable run to the semi-finals of the OHL Cup. Reflecting on these accomplishments, I can't help but feel a deep sense of pride in the growth and dedication displayed by every member of our team.

As I transition to my new role as the assistant coach for the Soo Greyhounds, a rush of excitement and anticipation courses through me. This is a fresh chapter in my coaching career, one that promises new challenges and opportunities for both personal and professional development. It's important to acknowledge the tremendous efforts put forth by the players, coaches, and support staff that made our time with the Wolves so unforgettable.

In embracing this new challenge, I am confident that the Wolves are left in capable hands under the leadership of Derek Schoenmakers. Having mentored Derek during his junior hockey journey, I have full faith in his ability to guide the team towards even greater heights. Supported by the continuity of Mark Strohack and Robin Cummings as assistant coaches, and Jesse Hutchinson as social media and sponsorship manager, the Wolves are primed for another exceptional season!

To the boys of the Waterloo U16 AAA Wolves, I want you to know that I'll be rooting for you every step of the way. Here's to the next chapter, Wolves – may your efforts lead to continued success and unending pride.
