Windy Win over Hamilton Red
Waterloo White took to the roads during an extreme wind warning to take on the Hamilton Huskies Red team and blew through three periods of play to earn themselves a 2-0 win.

It was a little bit testy crossing the Burlington Skyway bridge as the Wolves traveled to Parkdale arena Sunday evening. The energy of the winds gusts seemed to fuel the players as they cleared our zone with raw power and took a flurry of shots on the Huskies goalie. The Huskies would stay strong against the Wolves but it was the determination and persistance of Waterloo that overcame Hamilton's defence in the end. #5 Tiegs used his size and strength to make his presence known in front of our net while #14 Jespersen was strong on the boards and behind the net to win the puck battles to help clear our zone. #10 Mervyn was sharp with his passes and quick to cross the blue line as the Wolves progressed up the ice to scoring range and #44 Dupuis-Bissonnette positioned himself perfectly for the pass out front and/or the rebound from a shot. #2 Hancock did well, winning the faceoff to set up for scoring opportunities in Hamilton territory. It was a team effort to earn this win and shutout. A game well played and congratulations to #33 Hulka, who played a great game in net, denying Hamilton any chance of a goal. Now time to prepare for a busy weekend in the Waterloo region as the Wolves take on Kitchener Jr Rangers Red and Waterloo Black. Go Wolves Go!!!
