4 Point Weekend
The Waterloo Wolves Minor Bantam White team had a busy weekend earning themselves four points as they work their way back to top spot in Tier 1.

It was a slow start as Waterloo faced off against a determined Kitchener Jr. Rangers Blue squad. Waterloo took to the ice looking a little slow and sluggish and Kitchener decided to take advantage of this, scoring in their first few shifts. This apparently, was just what Waterloo needed!! From that moment on, Waterloo played with more passion and purpose. With an increased accuracy in their passing, more shots taken on net and a bit more pep in their step, Waterloo White dominated the remainder of the game earning a 5-1 victory at home. Their first, 2 points, for the weekend.
Sunday's game vs Hamilton Huskies Red highlighted just what Waterloo is made of. Coach McMurry gave the players a pre-game talk encouraging them to take charge right from the first puck drop and that is exactly what the Wolves did. With four goals in the first period, three goals in the second and two goals in the third, it was clear Waterloo was all business. In the third period alone the Wolves had 20 shots on net. Honourable mention goes out to #66 Anderson who not only earned a hat trick, but also assisted on many other plays and goals. #44 Dupuis-Bissonnette found three opportunities to get past the pads of the Huskies' goalie, and #88 McMurry and #3 Miller both earned themselves a goal and an assist on the scoresheet. Reesor #68, although going down head first into the boards during the second period, came back in the third looking for redemption and placed the final goal of the game into the net earning Waterloo Wolves a 9-0 victory. Congratulations to B. McLeod, #31, earning the shutout for the evening and maintaining his focus through three periods of play.  2 more points were gained to make a solid 4 point weekend.
